Podcast Producer/Engineer

Our podcast is already up and running, and it is meant to support our magazine, Permanent Record. We’ve already released two volumes of the magazine (in both digital and print form), and our first three episodes of the podcast (see link below). As such, we do not require any startup efforts. We just need someone to handoff the production duties to, since our current producer is only leaving us in order to pursue a full-time opportunity that won’t give her the bandwidth to continue her great work for us on a contract basis. 

The process: I’ve been recording the podcast interviews myself on Riverside.com, and then I send each of them to a third party contractor to edit the rough audio file. After I sign off on it (or ask for her to make any further edits), she will send it off to you to finalize the production process (including getting the episode posted on the relevant podcast platforms).

I believe that the “handoff” process should be fairly seamless, involving one brief conversation between you and our current podcast producer, as well as a separate conversation between you and our editor.
