Project Manager / Podcast Producer (Part-Time)

Hours: ~10 hours/week Rate: $40/hour ($400/week, ~$1,600/month) Location: Remote Reports to: Founder, Chorus Studios

About Chorus Studios

Founded by Flo Lumsden, we are a small team who produce branded, strategic podcasts for companies focused on technology and innovation. Our current clients include food supply chain technology, AI biotechnology and (upcoming) a non-profit organization focused on voter registration.

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Project Manager / Podcast Producer to support our podcast operations and keep production running smoothly. This is a part-time, flexible role ideal for someone who thrives on organization and follow-through, and who wants to grow their production and project management responsibilities over time.

As we scale, this role will increasingly take ownership of day-to-day production tasks — freeing up our founder, Flo, to focus on business development and marketing.

What You'll Do

  • Create and send Riverside recording links and Google Calendar invites for episode recordings
  • Track episode progress and manage the task list from booking through publish
  • Send intake forms and release forms to guests, and follow up to ensure they're completed on time
  • Help respond to client questions and concerns in a timely, professional manner
  • Keep founder on track by proactively reminding her of outstanding tasks and deadlines
  • Review podcast episode edits for overall flow and cohesion
  • Review and provide feedback on short-form clips created for social media

What We're Looking For

  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple episodes/projects at once
  • Excellent written communication skills, especially for guest- and client-facing emails
  • Experience with (or quick ability to learn) tools like Riverside, Google Calendar, and project tracking software (Slack, Trello)
  • A sharp ear for pacing, flow, and clarity in audio/video edits
  • Self-starter mentality — comfortable following up and keeping things moving without heavy oversight
  • Podcast production or media industry experience is a plus, but not required

Growth Opportunity

This role is designed to grow. As trust and familiarity build, we expect to hand off more production responsibilities — such as deeper involvement in editing oversight, guest coordination, and content workflow — making this a great fit for someone looking to expand into a larger production or ops role over time.

Compensation

  • $40/hour
  • Approximately 10 hours/week
  • ~$1,600/month
