Narrative Podcast Producer, New Poverty Alleviation Podcast
What do we owe to the man on the street? How can we respond to the everyday suffering we see? How do people in poverty experience change? What does Jesus think about poverty?
These questions drive us into the field in a new podcast from The Chalmers Center. Since releasing best-seller When Helping Hurts in 2009, the Chalmers Center has helped lead a quiet, global movement to rethink poverty.
As we look for a Podcast Producer for a best-in class season of stories, we're seeking an experienced hand in audio production to travel, connect, and ask questions. Curiosity is everything.
A bank of experience in narrative audio production allows you to move quickly into the field with ideas, story angles, and production strategy.
Collaborating with the Head of Creative Media, you'll research opportunities, develop pitches, interview, and gather tape around the world. We envision a polyphonic, musical, story-based project that surprises audiences by reaching deeper than just the intellect.
As we develop Season One, you'll help the Head of Creative Media assemble a creative core team – assisting with the hire of an editor, field producer, and contract engineers. You’ll work with the team to cut stories into final episodes, able to direct, but also to try your hand and ideas directly in the timeline as needed.
