About Antonia
Antonia Gonzales is a citizen of the Navajo Nation. For more than 20 years, Antonia spent her career in Native radio. She served as the anchor/producer of National Native News, creator/host/producer of Alaska’s Native Voice, and co-creator/host of Our Living Lands. Antonia is a television contributor with work featured on First Nations Experience, New Mexico PBS, and Native Report. She is a longtime member of the Indigenous Journalists Association, serving as a past board member and student mentor. Antonia lives in Albuquerque with her husband and two sons.
Antonia's Portfolio
The award-winning program, Alaska's Native Voice (ANV), was created, produced and hosted by Antonia Gonzales. She is the former longtime anchor of National Native News. ANV is a live radio series serving as a platform for Alaska Native people to discuss critical issues, celebrate culture, and share traditional knowledge.
The Native American Justice Series is a collaboration between Koahnic Broadcast Corporation and First Nations Experience Television. It explores Native Americans and the justice system highlighting Indigenous resilience.
Our Living Lands is a five-minute, weekly radio segment that explores the impact of climate change on Indigenous communities' health, culture, and environment. Antonia Gonzales helped co-create the show and served as host. OLL is a collaboration of Koahnic Broadcast Corporation, the Mountain West News Bureau and Native Public Media.
