About Daniel
Daniel Ondieki is an award-winning audio director based in Nairobi, Kenya, with over a decade of experience and a bachelors' degree in Audio Production and Composition from The Australian Institute of Music.
As an all-rounded audio specialist, he has spent the last decade working on everything from documentaries, tape syncs and field recording, to podcast production, live performance and voice acting. He has facilitated end-to-end audio direction at all levels, from major production companies to independent broadcasters and journalists.
As a director, he is known for his attention to detail, foresight and project management, working on extended duration projects with clear communication and objectives. As a writer producer, he is known for infusing humor and creative meaning into original audio worlds, carried by immaculate post-production for the listener.
As a field recordist, he has captured cultural ambisonic audio from all over Kenya, from the birds of Kongo River in Lamu, to the hot springs of Lake Bogoria and the hustle & bustle of Eldoret street life.
He is looking for a mixture of local work in Kenya (tape syncs and field recording) while also open to remote work (audio editing, mixing/mastering, original music production and voice-overs).
