Jade Brooks

Jade Brooks (she/her) is a sound engineer, producer, musician, dancer and creative writer. As a creative she noticed that storytelling is a common thread between each of these disciplines and believes that storytelling is an incredibly powerful tool and integral to bringing people together. Her enjoyment of audio stories in particular is what led her to lean into the audio world professionally. Throughout her sonic journey she has worked in various audio spaces including volunteering for her alma mater’s WNSR New School Radio and working as a tracking engineer for podcasts at Pineapple Street Studios. She is also a member of The Chutney Compound, an audio collective of audio professionals and creatives. Her current work as a tape syncer has revealed to her that there is still a large gap between QTPOC orators and the ability to get their stories heard. She is thrilled to help bridge that gap with her Tape Sync business Voxy Lady Audio.
