About Paulina
I'm a trilingual journalist and audio producer based in the California Bay Area.
I'm put together editorial collaborations with the rural-focused newsrooms at the Institute for Nonprofit News, supporting them with the impact and growth of their journalism.
As an investigative reporting fellow with Feet in 2 Worlds, an organization that supports immigrant voices, I produced a series about disinformation on Spanish-language media and its impact on Latino voters in the 2024 election. It won a 2025 NAHJ Ñ Award!
I help ideate and launch podcasts and projects for public media, pulling from my expertise reporting on Latinos and other marginalized communities. I'm working on mentoring more journalists who are also focused on challenging, high-impact reporting.
I file stories about immigration and the U.S.-Mexico border for The Guardian, and my latest exploration of Latino voters appeared in Prism. My experience in audio production ranges across public radio (KCRW, KQED, Marketplace) and podcasts (Crooked, Paradiso, Slate).
I was the editor of Season 1 of 100 Latina Birthdays, a documentary podcast about Latina health in the U.S. At independent audio production house LWC Studios, I oversaw daily operations and produced client and original podcasts for three years.
